THIS AGREEMENT WITH THE COOPERATOR IS NEEDED TO IMPLEMENT HAZARDOUS FUELS REDUCTION ON THE BLACK HILLS NATIONAL FOREST (BHNF). THIS PROJECT IS FOR VEGETATION MANAGEMENT AROUND THE AREA OF PE' SLA ON THE BHNF. THIS WILL TREAT HAZARDOUS FUELSON NATIONAL FOREST LAND TO PROVIDE A FUEL BREAK ALONG PRIVATE PROPERTY BOUNDARIES AND THE THROUGH NATIONAL FOREST LANDS. ON THE NATIONAL FOREST THIS WOULD PROTECT FUTURE TIMBER VOLUME AND NATURAL RESOURCES. THE WORK WILL REDUCE WILDFIRE RISK TO PRIVATE PROPERTY AND FOREST RESOURCES, INCLUDING FUTURE TIMBER PRODUCTION.
