AS AN ESSENTIAL HEALTH CARE PROVIDER FOR THE REGION, THE HOSPITAL OFFERS EMERGENCY, INPATIENT, OUTPATIENT, SURGICAL, DIAGNOSTIC, AND OTHER CRITICAL SERVICES CLOSE TO HOME. THE BELLEVUE HOSPITAL PLAYS A VITAL ROLE IN MAINTAINING ACCESS TO CARE FOR RURAL PATIENTS WHO MAY OTHERWISE FACE SIGNIFICANT TRAVEL AND TRANSPORTATION BARRIERS WHEN SEEKING TIMELY MEDICAL SERVICES. THE RURAL HOSPITAL PROVIDER ASSISTANCE PROJECT WILL SUPPORT THE BELLEVUE HOSPITAL’S CONTINUED DELIVERY OF ESSENTIAL RURAL HEALTH CARE SERVICES. GRANT FUNDS WILL HELP MAINTAIN EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT STAFFING AND LOCUM PROVIDER COVERAGE, STRENGTHEN OPERATIONAL CAPACITY, AND SUSTAIN RELIABLE ACCESS TO CRITICAL HEALTH CARE SERVICES FOR THE RURAL COMMUNITY SERVED BY THE HOSPITAL.
