APPLICATION PURPOSE: THE CITY OF ALEXANDRIA LA WILL USE FEDERAL FUNDS FOR APPROXIMATELY 3 YEARS TO REIMBURSE ELIGIBLE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH OPERATING AND CAPITAL EXPENSES FOR THE ATRANS TRANSIT SYSTEM.; ACTIVITIES PERFORMED: THIS GRANT WILL PROVIDE FUNDING OPERATIONAL AND CAPITAL ASSISTANCE FOR ATRANS FIXED-ROUTE AND ADA PARATRANSIT SERVICES. FUNDING WILL SUPPORT TRANSIT OPERATIONS.; EXPECTED OUTCOMES: THE AWARD WILL MAINTAIN SAFE RELIABLE FIXED-ROUTE AND ADA PARATRANSIT SERVICE FOR THE ALEXANDRIA URBANIZED AREA. OPERATING ASSISTANCE WILL SUPPORT CONTINUED ACCESS TO EMPLOYMENT HEALTHCARE EDUCATION AND OTHER ESSENTIAL DESTINATIONS. THE APC SYSTEM WILL IMPROVE RIDERSHIP DATA COLLECTION NTD REPORTING SERVICE PLANNING OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY AND REGULATORY COMPLIANCE.; INTENDED BENEFICIARIES: ALL RIDERS IN THE CITY OF ALEXANDRIA URBANIZED AREA WILL BENEFIT FROM ATRANS SERVICES.; SUBRECIPIENT ACTIVITIES: NONE
