Questions people ask
Are the bid alerts free?
Yes. The weekly e-mail and the bid search are free, with no password or credit card. You confirm your address once, and every e-mail has a one-click unsubscribe.
Which bids are included?
Open federal notices from SAM.gov (solicitations, sources sought and other notices) and open bids from the state, county and city sources SpendQuery loads, such as Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Washington DC, Texas DOT and California state departments. Federal notices are matched by their NAICS code and title; state and local bids by the words in their title and category.
How does the distance work?
We measure from your ZIP code to the ZIP code where the work is done, as the notice states it. Notices that name only a state show up when you pick “My whole state”; a city's or county's bids count from that city or county, and a state's own bids show up for ZIP codes in that state.
How often will I get e-mail?
Once a week, with the bids posted since your last e-mail. If nothing new matches, we don't send one.
Can I change what I get or stop?
Yes. Every e-mail has a link to change your lines of work, area, project size and set-asides, and a one-click unsubscribe.
