The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) anticipates the issuance of a solicitation for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project titled Replace Roof for the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) Butner located at Old NC Highway 75, Butner, NC 27509. The awarded contractor is required to completely remove all existing roofing systems at FCC Butner’s Federal Prison Camp—including approximately 35,000 square feet of flat EPDM roofing and 27,000 square feet of pitched shingle roofing—and dispose of all materials before installing a new fully welded 80?mil TPO flat roof system with tapered EPS insulation and a 30?year Class A asphalt shingle system on pitched areas, ensuring all penetrations, transitions, drains, curbs, walls, skylights, HVAC units, and flashing are rebuilt to provide a watertight, manufacturer?approved installation.
