INTRODUCTION: The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) at Patuxent River, MD announces its requirement to procure production-representative, flight-certified hardware to transition the AN/ALE-47 Common Carriage (CC) Countermeasures Dispensing System from the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase into rate production. This modernization program replaces the legacy AN/ALE-47 round-magazine dispenser system with a modernized, square-magazine architecture. This allows the Navy to deploy standard 1"x1"x8" square expendable countermeasures, expanding aircraft magazine capacity from 30 to 48 rounds and aligning joint logistics with the USAF, US Army, and F-35 platforms. The contract will cover the manufacture, testing, and delivery of the following Weapon Replaceable Assemblies (WRAs) and associated Support Equipment: SA-2669A/ALE-47(V) Common Carriage Sequencer: Modernized electronic control unit with upgraded processing, firmware loading capabilities, and increased memory to support the legacy dispenser, as well as next-generation intelligent expendables.
