FAR and DFARS › FAR Part 52: Solicitation Provisions and Contract Clauses › Subpart 52.2

FAR 52.209-7 Information Regarding Responsibility Matters.

The codified text (eCFR, as of 2026-10-02). Under the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul ↗, agencies follow class deviations with new text for many parts while the formal rules go through the Federal Register: check the solicitation and your contract's clauses, which rule.

In plain English

This provision asks an offeror to state whether it currently holds active Federal contracts and grants worth more than $10,000,000 in total. If it does, the offeror represents that the information it has entered in FAPIIS is current, accurate, and complete regarding certain fault or liability proceedings involving the offeror or its principals within the last five years. It matters because the government uses this responsibility information when deciding whether to award a contract.

Applies to: Offerors responding to a solicitation that includes this provision

What it requires

  • Check whether it has current active Federal contracts and grants with total value greater than $10,000,000

  • Post the required information in FAPIIS by maintaining an active registration in SAM
