FAR and DFARS › FAR Part 53: Forms › Subpart 53.2
FAR 53.236-1 Construction.
The codified text (eCFR, as of 2026-10-02). Under the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul ↗, agencies follow class deviations with new text for many parts while the formal rules go through the Federal Register: check the solicitation and your contract's clauses, which rule.
In plain English
This section lists the standard forms to use when contracting for construction, alteration, repair, or dismantling, demolition, or removal of improvements. It tells contractors which forms apply depending on whether the contract is expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold. It matters because using the wrong form can affect how offers are solicited and awarded.
Applies to: Contracting for construction, alteration, repair, or dismantling, demolition, or removal of improvements
