How this list is made
- SAM.gov contract notices still taking responses: the response deadline is today or later and falls in the window. Notices without a deadline (many special notices) aren't listed. Deadlines change with amendments: check the notice on SAM.gov before you plan around one.
- From the public SAM.gov extract, loaded daily; notices posted after the latest load aren't here yet.
Newest notice in the data: 2026-10-25. Data as of 2026-10-25.
Open federal solicitations you qualify for: filters and ranking
SpendQuery's open solicitations list shows every open SAM.gov contract notice with filters for agency, industry (NAICS), set-aside and place of work, free and without signing up. A set-aside tag alone doesn't make you eligible: you must also be small under the size standard for the notice's NAICS code and hold the status the set-aside names, so check both before you bid.
- Filter by set-aside and place of work. Pick the set-aside you hold (small business, 8(a), HUBZone, women-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned), your NAICS codes and the states you work in.
- Check the size standard for each notice's NAICS code. Enter the code in the SBA size standard check: you must be small under that code, by average annual receipts or employees, counting your affiliates. Your SAM.gov registration lists the NAICS codes buyers and set-aside searches see; the NAICS finder shows the codes buyers use for your kind of work.
- Rank notices by fit. Describe your work in plain words, or name a company whose work is like yours, and the open notices are sorted by how close they are.
- Look for buys that draw few bids. Contracts with few bidders lists the agencies and industries where past contracts drew one or two offers.
- Save searches and get alerts. Save a search to get new matching notices without searching again, or sign up for free weekly bid alerts.
- Free help and the next step. APEX Accelerators give free one-on-one help (apexaccelerators.us ↗); agency procurement forecasts show buys before they are posted; the bid/no-bid check fills in the incumbent, the competition and the time left from a pasted SAM.gov notice.

Questions people ask
What tools help a small business find open federal solicitations it actually qualifies for?
Eligibility for a small-business set-aside depends on two things on the notice: its NAICS code, which sets the size standard you must meet, and its set-aside type, which says who may bid. SpendQuery lists every open SAM.gov notice with both, free:
- Filter open notices by your NAICS codes and state, and by the set-aside you hold (small business, 8(a), HUBZone, women-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned).
- For each notice, check the SBA size standard for its NAICS code: you must be small under that code (average annual receipts or employees), counting affiliates.
- Rank the rest by fit: describe your work in plain words, or name a company whose work is like yours, and notices are sorted by closeness.
- Open a notice's brief for what the buyer needs, the deadline, the likely incumbent and earlier notices of the same buy.
