FAR and DFARS › DFARS Part 252: Solicitation Provisions and Contract Clauses › Subpart 252.2
DFARS 252.204-7016 Covered Defense Telecommunications Equipment or Services—Representation.
The codified text (eCFR, as of 2026-10-02). Under the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul ↗, agencies follow class deviations with new text for many parts while the formal rules go through the Federal Register: check the solicitation and your contract's clauses, which rule.
In plain English
This DFARS provision requires an offeror to check SAM for parties excluded from receiving federal awards related to covered defense telecommunications equipment or services, and to represent whether it provides such equipment or services as part of its offered products or services to the Government. It matters because the offeror must make this representation when responding to a solicitation, which affects eligibility and compliance.
Applies to: Offerors responding to solicitations that include this provision
What it requires

- Represent whether it does or does not provide covered defense telecommunications equipment or services as part of its offered products or services to the Government in the performance of any contract, subcontract, or other contractual instrument
