The codified text (eCFR, as of 2026-10-02). Under the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul ↗, agencies follow class deviations with new text for many parts while the formal rules go through the Federal Register: check the solicitation and your contract's clauses, which rule.
In plain English
This clause is used when a new contract replaces an earlier contract that provided similar services. It transfers any capital credits, remaining connection charge credits, or termination liability from the old contract to the new one, with the amounts listed in the contract. Applies to: Contracts that supersede a prior contract for similar services, as prescribed in DFARS 241.501-70(a)
What it requires

- List by month and year the amount credited and show the remaining outstanding connection charge credits due the Government
- List by month and year the amount of monthly facility cost recovered and show the remaining facility cost to be recovered
Key terms: supersedes · capital credits · connection charge · termination liability
