DFARS 252.217-7026 Identification of Sources of Supply.

The codified text (eCFR, as of 2026-10-02). Under the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul ↗, agencies follow class deviations with new text for many parts while the formal rules go through the Federal Register: check the solicitation and your contract's clauses, which rule.

In plain English

This DFARS provision requires the apparently successful offeror to submit a table identifying the sources of supply for each deliverable item of supply and item of technical data before award. The Government needs this information under 10 U.S.C. 4753. It matters because a contractor must be ready to disclose manufacturer and source details, including part numbers, before it can receive the award.

Applies to: Apparently successful offerors on solicitations that include this provision

What it requires

  • Complete and submit the required table before award
  • List each deliverable item of supply and item of technical data
  • List 'none' if there is no national stock number
  • Use 'Y' or 'N' to indicate whether an item is a commercial product or commercial service, and if 'Y', the remaining columns need not be completed

Key terms: deliverable item of supply · item of technical data · national stock number · commercial product · commercial service
